Roman Reigns: Seth Rollins delivers MAJOR update about leukaemia-stricken WWE star

Reigns stunned the WWE Universe last October when he revealed that he first battled the terrible disease 11 years ago and after quickly putting it in remission the cancer unfortunately came back recently.

The Big Dog then relinquished the Universal Championship shortly after his SummerSlam triumph over Brock Lesnar and took an extended leave for treatment.

Rollins was devastated after the news as he walked out on stage and hugged the four-time world champion with tears in his eyes.

However, The Kingslayer stated that the ex-WWE Champion is now doing well and looks set to make a return “sometime sooner rather than later”.

The Architect, though, stressed the fact that the WWE hero is focused on getting healthy first after spending the holidays with his family.

Rollins told FOX 2 News: “Roman is doing great.

“He obviously spent the holidays home with his family and he’s doing really good.

“He’s in a good position.

“He’s prime to make a comeback, hopefully, sometime sooner rather than later.

“But at the end of the day, he’s just focused on getting healthy right now.

“But I will say that he’s doing good.”

Reigns insisted he is not retiring from professional wrestling during an emotional speech on his most recent RAW appearance.

The former Universal Champion is determined to come back to prove to the world that he can overcome every obstacle life throws against him.

He said: “After I’m done whooping leukaemia’s a** once again, I’m coming back home.

“I want to show my family, my friends, my children and my wife that when life throws a curveball at me, I am the type of man that will stand in that batter’s box, I will crowd the plate, I will choke up and I will swing for the fences every single time!”
