Rangers vs Celtic LIVE: Updates from Old Firm showdown at Ibrox, teams confirmed

Steven Gerrard’s side are hoping to go level on points with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

A win for Rangers would put them on 42 points, the same as Celtic, however, Brendan Rodgers’ men have a game in hand.

Rangers boss Gerrard has urged his side to bring their A game if they are to beat their arch-rivals.

“I feel we’re a couple of results away from having the perfect six months, if you like,” said Gerrard.

“We have to bring our A game. We’re playing against a good team with good players. They will be well drilled, I know that for sure.

“We know that we have to bring our best to get the result we want. I’m confident the players can do that.”

Celtic manager Rodgers, however, insisted the Ibrox atmosphere could hinder Rangers.

“I think it’s better in both grounds when both sets of supporters are there in their numbers,” said Rodgers. “But it can work for or against you as a home team.”
