Carol Vorderman, 58, got chatting about her colourful dating history and divulged about a blind date she had back in the 80s to BBC Radio Wales listeners.
The Countdown favourite couldn’t stop laughing as she recalled the awkward date with someone who ended up being 20 years her senior.
Carol said it was set up by someone who she worked with at Yorkshire Television.
She told listeners: “This woman said I’ve got this friend and he would love to take you out and he’s amazing and he’s charming and this and that.”
“She said his name is George,” laughing, Carol added: “I’ve changed the name.”
Carol explained she drove to his house after deciding to wear one of her very sexy outfits.
“I thought what am I going to wear, I only had about four outfits in the 80s and they were all very short,” she revealed.
“I thought I would go for ‘is that a belt you’re wearing’ turquoise, silk shorts that came up and showed absolutely everything.”
Carol added: “I wore it with a low top, I can remember the outfit it was that dramatic.”
The TV favourite said she knocked on the door and was welcomed by a “charming gentlemen” with “greying hair”.
“I said ‘is George in?’ Thinking that was his dad, he said ‘I’m George’,” Carol said.
Recalling the hilarious meeting, Carol continued: “I was 22 he must have been all of 40 and well I had to go to dinner didn’t I!?”
Giggling away, Carol said: “All the time, I’m pulling this minuscule shorts down.”
Speaking about the blind date experience, the star didn’t seem to be a fan as she said: “It was that whole thing that you didn’t know [what to expect] when you got there.”
Also on the radio show, Carol revealed she kept one of her boyfriends a secret during her time at the University of Cambridge when she was younger.
Meanwhile, the age-defying beauty looked incredible when she stepped out at the Welsh Grand National on Thursday.
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant showed off her mesmerising curves in a striking red gown.
Carol oozed confidence as she showcased her eye-popping figure in the skintight number.
Posing with the race track in the background, Carol struck the camera a massive grin.
The radio host ensured she wrapped up warm for the day out with a beige coat.
