AJ Pritchard’s brother Curtis forced to QUIT Dancing With The Stars due to attack injuries

AJ Pritchard, 24, and his brother Curtis Prtichard, 22, were reportedly set upon by eight thugs whilst on a night out Nantwich, Cheshire on December 27.

Witnesses claimed the siblings were kicked and punched in the face after posing with fans, according to The Sun.

As a result of injuries sustained in the attack, Curtis is due to undergo emergency operation on his knee, his spokesperson told The Mirror.

Dancing With The Stars have now confirmed Curtis won’t be able to dance in this year’s series, which is set to begin on January 6.

The programme announced the news to their 50,500 followers on Twitter where they wrote: “Dancing with the Stars pro-dancer Curtis Pritchard was involved in an incident on 26 December 2018.

“As a result of the injuries sustained, he will not have recovered in time for the launch of the new series, which will air 6 January 2019.”

They continued: “Dancing with the Stars wish Curtis a speedy recovery.

“A replacement for Curtis on the show is currently being arranged by ShinAwiL and we look forward to welcoming Curtis back when he recovers.”

AJ’s Strictly Come Dancing co-stars have been sending their love to the siblings and have been wishing them a speedy recovery.

Joe Sugg wrote on Twitter: “Saddened to hear about what happened to @Aj11Ace and his brother @CurtisPritchard the other night. [fingers crossed emoji] for a speedy recovery boys.”

Former judge Arlene Phillips said: “Totally wrong on every level to attack such kind gentle boys.

“So sorry that @CurtisPritchard will be unable to start work on @DWTSIRL and wishing him and @Aj11Ace speedy recovery,” Arlene Phillips CBE added.

Neil Jones, who is married to Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones, commented: “Disgusting what happened to @Aj11Ace and his brother @CurtisPritchard and I hope they catch everyone involved.”

While Gorka Marquez told his 73,900 Twitter followers: “So disgusted at the sad news about @Aj11Ace and @CurtisPritchard sending you all my love and support. EIGHT lads on two! Wtf? I hope justice is served properly. Stay strong AJ & Curtis!”

Cheshire Police have released a statement about the incident and have asked for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting IML 279517 or online.

The statement read: “Shortly after 2am on Thursday 27 December officers were called to reports of an incident at a nightclub on Welsh Row, Nantwich.

“Officers attended the scene and found that four men, three aged 22 and one aged 24, had been assaulted.

“The victims sustained a number of injuries as a result of the incident and were taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment. All of the men have since been discharged.”

A spokesman for the brothers told The Mirror: “Curtis is due to undergo an emergency operation in the next few days to correct the damages he has sustained to his knee, he is also recovering from injuries to his eye and face.

“AJ received bruising to his face, arms, body and legs. Statements have been given to Cheshire Police and they are currently undergoing an investigation.”
