Melania Trump SNUBBED? Trump will NOT spend New Year’s with his wife for THIS reason

The US President has cancelled his New Year’s plans and will stay in Washington because of the Government shutdown. Acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said on “Fox & Friends on Friday: “He’s canceled his plans for Christmas. “Now he’s canceled his plans for New Year’s.

“The president is very heavily engaged in this.”

It was originally planned for the Trump family to spend 16 days at Mar-a-Lago.

However, the US President opted to spend Christmas at the White House as the Government partially shut down at midnight last Saturday.

On Christmas eve, the American firebrand complained: “I am all alone (poor me) in the White House, waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security.”

Later that day, Melania returned to Washington to spend the festitivity with her husband.

The First Lady and the President then jetted to Iraq for a surprise visit to US soldiers on Boxing Day.

The trip to the war-torn nation was Donald Trump’s first since becoming president 707 days ago, in January 2017.

He stayed at the air base west of Baghdad for more than three hours and posed for photographs with US military personnel.

On Wednesday, Melania flew back to the private club house of Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, which is known as the Southern White House.

She will take part in the annual glamorous and high-priced New Year’s Eve party at the private resort without her husband.

According to the Palm Beach Post, tickets for the glitzy celebration cost $1,000 for club guests and $650 for club members.

Negotiations to reopen the government will once again come into effect on January 3, after a new majority has entered the House.

The Government shut down began on December 20, when Republicans and Democrats failed to reach an agreement on the funding of President Trump’s proposed wall along the Mexican border.
