Man Utd news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made three players do THIS after Huddersfield win

Manchester United manager Solskjaer saw his side battle past Huddersfield to make it two wins from as many matches.

The 45-year-old was bought in earlier this month to repair the mess of the Jose Mourinho era. Mourinho was axed with his side stuck in a rut and no upturn in form on the horizon.

Manchester United have looked a far slicker outfit as a result. Last week’s 5-1 win over Cardiff was followed up by a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield with Paul Pogba’s brace firing them to victory.

And the Manchester Evening News have now delved into what Solskjaer did after the game.

The former Red Devils No 20 has done his best to involve everyone during his time in charge so far.

Against Huddersfield, he made three changes from the side that had blitzed Cardiff days previously.

Fred and Diogo Dalot came in for Ander Herrera and Ashley Young respectively.

And Juan Mata replaced Anthony Martial, who Solskjaer had claimed was ill.

Some players, however, are yet to feature.

And the MEN say Solskjaer made the likes of Antonio Valencia, Scott McTominay and Matteo Darmian undergo light training at the final whistle – despite the trio failing to make the matchday squad.

The United boss has already outlined his desire to give everybody the minutes they need.

But whether he opts to tinker for his side’s clash with Bournemouth on Saturday remains to be seen.

United battled their way to a key win over the Cherries back in November.

Callum Wilson had fired Eddie Howe’s side in front.

But goals from Martial and Marcus Rashford gave United all three points.

Bournemouth will enter the match with a point to prove, though, after being battered 5-0 by Tottenham on Boxing Day.
