Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby, 37, was asked how her outfits on the skating show differ from her attire on ITV show This Morning, to which she explained the difference in choices. She said: “Oh My God…sequins! The glitter, the sequins and the hem length I guess. “It’s lovely on Dancing on Ice to be able to wear a big frock and something you never get to wear in real life! You just don’t get to wear dresses like that. I love that dress up. It’s like being a princess and going to the ball every Sunday night.”
The This Morning star went on to say she would love to have a go at being on the ice herself like her co-host Phillip did back in 2014.
She continued: “Do you know…I would! I’d absolutely love to learn to do it but it’s finding the time to do it properly.
“You can’t just go and have a one-hour lesson.
“Phil really committed to that! In his head he thought was going really fast but then he watched it back and he said he was really slow, I thought he did amazingly.
“I think it’s finding the time to do it properly but yes, I would love to…one day!”
Holly and Phil returned as hosts to the skating show this year after the programme’s four-year break.
This year, the mother-of-three said she would love to see a romance blossom on the show.
She told the Daily Star: “I really want there to be a romance on Dancing On Ice this series.
“I always want that to happen. Wouldn’t that be great?”
She added: “Over the years I’ve set up quite a few people. I like doing it.
“I’ve helped cause some marriages and some very successful relationships.”
But avoiding any controversial romances, she added: “As long as it’s two single people, then I’m well up for a bit of setting people up.”
Meanwhile, this year’s Dancing On Ice line-up includes Coronation Street star Jane Danson, reality show veteran Gemma Collins and former Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan.
They will face competition alongside ex PussyCat Doll Melody Thornton, Saira Khan and Brian McFadden.
Last year’s judges Jason Gardiner, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo will return as the show’s judges.
Dancing On Ice 2019 begins on ITV on January 6, 2019 at 6pm.
