Frank Adonis dead: Goodfellas and Raging Bull star dies aged 83

TMZ reported that the Goodfellas actor died Wednesday night in Las Vegas. It is believed he died after a long battle with various health issues. According to the news website, Frank’s wife Denise said he had been ill for the last couple of years and suffered with kidney problems. She said in a statement: “He will be missed. He was a great father and an amazing husband. He helped all his friends he could.

“Great writer, director and actor. He was my best friend.”

TMZ also added that the actor had been having dialysis and was on a ventilator for the last nine days.

Frank was widely known for his role as Anthony Stabile in 1990 hit movie Goodfellas.

Frank’s career also included his roles in Raging Ball, Casino and True Romance.

Since the news of his passing, many fans have flocked to Twitter to pay a tribute to the star.

One user commented: “RIP Frank Adonis was in some great movies.”

Another wrote: “#RIP Frank Adonis.”

Frank is survived by his wife Denise and their two children, and another daughter from a previous marriage.

Frank also ddirected the 1998 film One Deadly Road. 

His most recent credit was in last year’s feature Proximity to Power.
