Galaxy Note 9 vs Galaxy Note 8 – Here’s one major reason to get Samsung’s older flagship

Galaxy Note 9 has much in common with the Note 8; both share an incredibly similar aesthetic comprised of two glass panels and an aluminium frame.

Although the newer Samsung handset has a marginally larger display than the Note 8, both offer incredibly vivid colours and laudable viewing angles.

The Galaxy Note 9 has a 6.4-inch display while the Note 8 comes in at 6.3-inches.

Despite its older chipset, the Galaxy Note 8 still offers rapid performance across Google’s Android operating system, too.

And the device comes with a dual-camera system that can take gorgeous shots.

Both the Galaxy Note 8 and Note 9 feature the product line’s signature S Pen that allows owners to quickly jot down information.

It is worth noting that the Note 9 has a few more tricks up its sleeve than the Note 8 in this regard; the S Pen on the former is Bluetooth enabled, meaning it can control certain phone functions such as music playback and the camera shutter.

However, the core functionality of both accessories is still very similar.

Most importantly, both devices are expected to receive an upgrade to Samsung’s recently-announced One UI software running on top of Android 9 Pie in the future.

This means even the slightly older phablet has a huge upgrade for owners to look forward to.

Samsung is currently giving customers that purchase a Note 9 a tempting cashback offer.

The firm is allowing fans to claim up to £150 back after their purchase.

Such an offer is available through Samsung directly and a number of other UK retailers.

The offer is for the Note 8 with 64GB of storage.

Such disparity between the prices of last year’s phablet against the Note 9 seemingly provides customers a huge reason to go for the former.
