EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, 41, stars as Hollywood producer Lewis Parker in the festive show, but a source has claimed he only appeared in the two-hour production for 13 minutes. The Albert Square favourite stars in the show alongside his daughter and Love Island winner Dani Dyer, 22, with tickets costing up to £120. An audience member told The Sun: “It was a bit baffling that Danny wasn’t in the final song considering his daughter was. “For the expensive ticket price, there was definitely an expectation amongst the crowd of seeing a bit more of the man himself.”
Danny featured heavily in adverts to promote the show, which tells the story of a teacher who promises his primary school pupils he’ll get a producer to see their nativity.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Danny Dyer for comment.
Elsewhere, Dani admitted she was “scared” to perform in the show at the Eventim Apollo as her boyfriend Jack Fincham, 26, was in the audience with her mum on Thursday night.
Taking to her Twitter with 318,000 followers, she commented: “Why is it when you know your boyfriend is going to be in the audience tonight you get even more scared?”
But many of the star’s social media fans flocked to her page to reassure her.
One user wrote: “Aw bless you and @MrDDyer are going to be so incredible so proud of you both good luck.”
A second added: “You’ll make him so proud girl!!”
A third commented: “You’ll smash it Dani! Have fun.”
Despite her nerves, Dani took to her Instagram page to tell her fans her first show went well.
Alongside a picture of her and Danny, she wrote: “Thank you so much for all the love and support can’t believe how well the first show went!
“The cast of this show are so unbelievably talented so grateful to be sharing the stage with you… bring on tonight @nativityuk.”
Back in October, Danny announced he was going to be a part of the show on Instagram.
The actor posted a promotional shot of the cast, which saw him sat in the middle, with his daughter Dani behind him.
In view of his 1.3 million followers, he commented: “Can’t believe I’m gonna be mincing about on the stage at @eventimapollo with my beautiful first born child @danidyerxx in @nativityuk this Christmas. #choked.”
Last month, he also posted a backstage snap of him, Dani and writer Debbie.
He commented: “Went to see Nativity with this Clever writer director Debbie Isitt and my little beautiful one Dani.
“We can’t wait to be part of such festive lovelyness from the 19th to the 31st December in London.”(sic)
