For those in need of last-minute holiday gifts, why not pick up some real estate from New York City’s “crazy rich” residents?

One option is movie mogul Sidney Kimmel’s 8,000-square-foot condo that encompasses the entire 27th floor of the Ritz-Carlton hotel at 50 Central Park South, on the market for a modest $39.5 million.

Designed by celebrity architect Thierry Despont, the apartment is literally out of the pages of Architectural Digest. Artistic details include a wood-paneled library, a marble fireplace and an entryway encased in bronze.

Two wings meeting at a central galley connect the seemingly never-ending floor plan, which also features two massive terraces and, for the colder months, panoramic views of the five boroughs visible through Lalique windows. Its closets are the size of some New York City apartments, with the master suite taking up a whopping 2,000 square feet.

Living in the Ritz has its perks too, of course. Residents can use its health club and spa, bars, eateries and other amenities. There’s no need to fear the hotel’s crowds, though, as those headed to its condo section can enter the building through their own private entrance.

It’s nothing but the best for Kimmel, who founded entertainment company SK Global and produced blockbusters like this year’s glam-com “Crazy Rich Asians,” along with other hits including “Moneyball” and “The Kite Runner.” The A-lister is not just known for his work in Hollywood, however. His other ventures include founding Jones New York, now Nine West Holdings, along with the nonprofit Sidney Kimmel Foundation, which has donated hundreds of millions to cancer research.

If your beloved is more of a foodie, then perhaps it’s better to consider Joe & The Juice founder Kaspar Basse’s 2,180-square-foot penthouse at 63 Greene St. Not only will they have access to a 100-bottle wine cellar fit for beverage royalty, but they can also live in the same building as Zayn Malik, who purchased a $10.7 million pad there earlier this year.

As is often the case with celebrity real estate, it’s unclear why the juice magnate listed the apartment, but perhaps it’s to upgrade, as his business is expected to be the next major competition for Starbucks – a positive projection for his personal wealth in 2019.

Regardless of the reason, the home Basse has decided to sell is a piece of New York history, being located in an 1877 building in SoHo’s historic cast iron district. The structure is so old that defining it as pre-war nearly applies to the Civil War, as is evident in its original details, including exposed brick and hardwood floors. The condo’s listing price sits just under $7 million.
