Emily Atack: ‘I’ve ruined his life’ Inbetweeners star’s shock claim about Jamie Redknapp

Emily Atack, 29, revealed on the ITV  show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! she wanted to be set up with Jamie Redknapp, 45 on a date after she divulged the details to his dad Harry Redknapp, 71, who went on to be crowned king of the jungle. The Inbetweeners actress has now claimed she has “ruined his life” in relation to the former footballer, who divorced his wife Louise Redknapp last year. Speaking to Rob Howard today on Capital FM Breakfast show, the actress updated listeners on her progress. The DJ queried: “So we wanted to ask, following up from the jungle, obviously you are a big Jamie Redknapp fan…”

“Has there been any progress with that? Pretend the whole of London – and probably Jamie himself – isn’t listening.”

Emily replied, light-heartedly: “No! I feel so sorry for Jamie – I’ve ruined his life! Poor thing, I’m not even going out with him yet and I’ve already ruined his life.”

However, Emily revealed a small development in trying to make Jamie her main man.

Rob asked if the jungle star had attempted to contact Jamie on social media.

He joked: “Any sort of DMs and sliding?”

To which Emily admitted she has followed Jamie on Instagram but the football pundit has not followed her back.

Emily said: “I’ve followed him on Instagram but no joy back.”

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty’s mum Kate Robbins previously spoke out about her daughter’s crush on Jamie.

Presenter Kate Garraway asked: “Talking of get-togethers, will you be getting together with the Redknapps?”

She added: “We are all waiting with bated breath to see if Harry has sorted Emily with a date with Jamie,”

The comedian joked: “If he bungs me 20 – if he bungs me a monkey I’ll be even more pleased.”

“Listen, I don’t know,” she confirmed. “We love you the Redknapps wherever you are, we don’t know.”

Meanwhile, Emily has dealt a major blow after she revealed on Capital FM she is no longer part of The Inbetweeners reunion.

The actress played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the E4 comedy between 2008 and 2010, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year.

A special episode will air on New Year’s Day but the jungle star will not be making an appearance.

When asked if she was involved in the show, she commented: “Well unfortunately, so I don’t really know what happened yet… I was booked to do it and very much looking forward to doing it.

“Then, erm, the day before I was told I was no longer needed for it.”
