Donald Moffat dead: The Thing and The Right Stuff actor dies after recent stroke age 87

Donald Moffat’s daughter told The New York Times he had died yesterday, as a result of complications following a recent stroke.

The actor was born in Plymouth, Devon, and went on to star in countless films over his long career.

Two of the 87-year-old’s most famous roles were as US presidents in The Right Stuff and Clear and Present Danger.
