Emily Atack: ‘I feel so sorry for him’ Inbetweeners star’s Jamie Redknapp remarks revealed

Emily Atack said she fancied Jamie Redknapp while in the jungle with his father Harry Redknapp, who went on to be crowned king of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018. The Inbetweeners actress has now claimed she “feels so sorry” for the former footballer, who divorced his wife Louise Redknapp last year. The 29-year-old hinted that she wished the pundit, 45, hadn’t been “dragged into this”, following her cheeky, light-hearted comments on the ITV programme. Speaking to the latest issue of OK! Magazine, she was asked about “fancying” the father-of-two as well as her recent weight loss.

“Oh poor Jamie,” Emily commented. “I feel so sorry for him being dragged into this.”

She went on to clarify if she thought anything was going to happen between them, saying: “I’m just focussing on myself, my work, my friends.

“I’m enjoying my life as single woman.”

Emily Atack previously spilled all on Jamie’s picture request during an appearance on Loose Women on Monday.

On whether she’d met him before, the star said: “I met him once. He actually asked me for a photo a few years ago because he is an Inbetweeners fan. So yeah, no we will see.”

As well as her supposed love interest, she told the publication about if she’d lost weight during her time in camp.

Emily revealed: “Not much, about half a stone. I’m feeling good and healthy, though, I’ve had a good detox.”

She also spoke out about Harry’s comments at the I’m A Celebrity wrap party, when he said she “scrubbed up well”.

Emily went on: “That’s not the first time I’ve heard that! Harry’s my mate, you take it all with a huge pinch of salt.

“He was just having a laugh.”

Meanwhile, her mum Kate Robbins has spoken out about her daughter’s desire to go on a date with Jamie.

“Talking of get-togethers,” Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway began. “Will you be getting together with the Redknapps?

“We are all waiting with bated breath to see if Harry has sorted Emily with a date with Jamie,” the presenter stated.

“If he bungs me 20,” the comedian joked. “If he bungs me a monkey I’ll be even more pleased.”

“Listen, I don’t know,” she confirmed. “We love you the Redknapps wherever you are, we don’t know.”
