Kevin Clifton reveals where he's put the Glitterball trophy after Stacey Dooley LOST it

Kevin Clifton, 36, and Stacey Dooley, 31, were crowned the winner’s of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing after performing three dances in the final on Sunday night.

Following the huge win, Kevin revealed his Glitterball trophy has taken pride position in his home.

The Grimsby-born dancer re-shared a snap to his Instagram story of the coveted trophy at the bottom of his Christmas tree.

The shot was originally uploaded by his roommate and fellow professional dancer Tommy Franzen.

Kevin’s pal wrote on the picture: “Christmas tree decoration done” along with: “#boysflat.”

After their momentous win on Sunday, the Strictly Come Dancing pair danced up a storm at the after party.

And at the bash, Dr Ranj Singh revealed Stacey ended up losing the Glitterball trophy and asked her fellow contestants whether they had seen it.

Spilling all on the after party shenanigans on the Telegraph’s Talking Strictly podcast, Dr Ranj admitted he had a picture of him and the Glitterball but “didn’t take it home”.

He divulged: “Here’s a little secret… so after the after party, I may have snuck a picture with Stacey’s trophy.

“Then there was a message on the WhatsApp group yesterday saying, ‘Has anyone seen my trophy? I left it in the room with all the bags and now I can’t find it’.”

He said he replied: “And I was like, ‘I definitely didn’t take it home’.”

On the podcast, the This Morning doctor was then asked: “You didn’t leave it in the cab did you?”

He replied: “No… I was like, ‘How many drinks did I have?’.”

Thankfully for Stacey, the trophy was found, with Dr Ranj adding: “I think it was put away for safe keeping.”

Kevin is now getting ready to play the role of Stacee Jaxx on the Rock of Ages tour, which kicks off in January.

The performer, who first made his musical debut in Dirty Dancing in the West End, will be playing the role from January 22 until April 6.

Kevin’s commitment to the show means the star will miss out on dancing with Stacey on Strictly Come Dancing: The Live Tour.

The documentary maker will be swapping her professional partner for Aljaž Škorjanec, who was partnered with Kate Silverton this series, for the show’s 2019 tour.

Speaking about going on tour, Stacey said: “I’m loving this experience so much. I know people always say that, but it’s so true.

”I will miss Kev, but I am looking forward to putting Aljaz through his paces!”

Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to BBC One in 2019.
