Thomas Markle speaks of ‘heartbreak’ as he texts Meghan Markle ‘every day’ with no reply

Meghan Markle, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, are gearing up for Christmas and getting ready to welcome their first child.

Today Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle appears live in Good Morning Britain to talk about his relationship with his daughter.

He told presenters and viewers he texts his daughter everyday, but has never received a response.

Thomas said: “Well I’m very disappointed by it I’m not sure why its happening and I’m waiting, I’m reaching out.

“I’ve been trying to reach out for her every day for weeks, every day I’ve tried to text her.

“I just keep asking her to respond back to me. I have sent a letter as well.”

He told Susanna Reid that in his messages to his daughter he writes: “I love you very much, you’re my daughter and I’d really like to hear from you. Please reach out to me.”

He defended his daughter against Piers Morgan’s suggestion that ‘ghosting’ people was a trait of the former-actresses.

He said: “That’s really not character trait of hers, she’s really always been very polite.

“I don’t know what’s really happening right now we had our differences at the beginning, about my heart attack.”

He suggested that Harry and his wife believed stories about him in the paper, heightening the apparent risk.

He said: “They believe everything they read in the papers, they were telling me to never read those things but now they are reading it and believe I’m saying things I’m never saying.

“I’ve been quiet for six months and no one’s returned anything back to me, no one’s spoken to me. I’m very confused by it.”

Thomas claimed Meghan Markle is ‘controlling’.

He told the presenters, and the viewing public: “She’s always been a very controlling person and that’s part of her nature, but she’s never been rude.

“She’s always been in charge, that’s her nature, but she’s always been polite with me.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not spend Christmas morning together, a fact that will surprise some.

A royal expert has revealed the rule in the Mail on Sunday.

Queen’s former chef Darren McGrady revealed the royal women eat a very different breakfast to the men.
