Man Utd news: Mourinho sack decision made, Pochettino demand claim, Zaha transfer plan

Man Utd decide Mourinho fate

Manchester United have decided to keep Jose Mourinho as manager despite their 3-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool.

The Guardian say the Red Devils will not act after the defeat despite the disappointing nature of their performance.

In the past, United have waited until the end of the season before relieving their manager of his duties.

And Mourinho, it seems, will live to fight another day despite the pessimism around Old Trafford continuing to grow.

Pochettino demand claim

Roy Keane believes Mauricio Pochettino will demand financial backing from United should they try and name him as Jose Mourinho’s successor.

The Argentina has his admirers over at Old Trafford.

But Keane thinks they will only be able to woo him if they are to hand him a sizeable transfer kitty.

“I honestly think if Pochettino went in to Man United next summer, he would say we need some players to get Man United back to competing at the top level,” Keane told Sky Sports.

“I think he’d try and get some players more back on side, like Pogba – although I go back to it, he’s got to sort himself out.”

Zaha transfer plan

Mourinho was keen to finally replace Wilfried Zaha this summer, reports say.

The Crystal Palace star left over three years ago but the club have not signed a right winger in the time since.

And the MEN say Mourinho was keen to rectify that this summer.

The man he wanted was Xherdan Shaqiri.

But Liverpool ended up beating them to the Switzerland international, who joined from Stoke in a £12million transfer.
