World War 3 FEARS as Russian forces to acquire ‘100’ new NUCLEAR missiles by END OF YEAR

Commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces Colonel General Sergei Karakaev revealed the explosive news. He used a newspaper interview to explain his nation’s increased military ambitions. The ominous development has raised fears of escalating tensions in the region.

Colonel General Karakaev told the state-owned Russian Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper: “By the end of the year, it is planned to supply about 100 new pieces of armament to the troops, including the Yars missile systems of stationary and mobile deployment.”

The so-called Yars missile, also known as RT-24 Yars or Topol’-MR, is a Russian MIRV-equipped, thermonuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile first tested on May 29, 2007.

Colonel General Karakaev explained in 2021 the Uzhur division was to become the first in Russia to be rearmed with the new Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The RS-28 Sarmat is a Russian liquid-fueled, MIRV-equipped, superheavy thermonuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile, in development by the Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau since 2009.

He said: “Within the framework of the state armament program, the Russian industry is working on the creation of Sarmat, a new mine-based missile complex with a liquid-propellant heavy missile.

“Equipping the army with this missile complex is planned to begin in 2021 in missile regiments of the Uzhur division, which is now armed with Sarmat’s predecessor – the Voevoda missile complex.”

The Russian military commander warned, “pop-up tests” were already in force and “infrastructure” was already being created to accommodate for the new arms.

He said: “Pop-up tests of the Sarmat missile have been successfully completed.

“The infrastructure for flight tests at the Plesetsk cosmodrome is actively being created.

“In the near future, flight tests of the complex will begin, the successful implementation of which will allow starting mass production of its components.”

The commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces also said in 2019, the Dombarovsky division is set to become first in Russia to be armed with the new Avangard hypersonic missile systems.

He said: “Currently, NPO Mashinostroyeniya has already started serial production of the new Avangard missile complex with hypersonic combat equipment.

“The first systems are planned to become operational in the missile regiment of the Dombarovsky division next year.”

His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Ukraine and Russia after hundreds of Russian tanks were seen lining up on the border between the feuding nations.

The bellicose move from the Kremlin has sparked fears of an escalated conflict in Crimea, a territory Russia claims as its own.
