Packers star Aaron Rodgers makes trade revelation following ANOTHER defeat

That’s the view of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers who couldn’t stop the Packers losing a divisional clash with Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The Bears were 24-17 winners ending the Packers already slim hopes of reaching this season’s NFL playoffs.

Green Bay now sit third in the NFC North with a 5-8-1 record and are yet to win on the road.

It’s the second campaign in a row that the Packers will not take part in the postseason.

They have already fired coach Mike McCarthy with Joe Philbin the current interim coach.

And while Rodgers admits it’s frustrating, he still believes the Packers will be strong in the future after changes have been made.

“Last year was obviously a tough year with the injury,” Rodgers said.

“This year there was a lot of promise early on, it’s definitely disappointing.

“The expectation is competing for championships and it’s a good ball team but I look forward to the battles over the years.

“I like our chances in this division moving forward.

“There’ll be some changes in the offseason.

“We will try to see this year out in the right way and then we will look to the future which I’m sure is really bright in Green Bay.”

Rodgers injured himself during the defeat to the Bears on Sunday, however played throughout the match.

And though the season is done and dusted in terms of reaching the playoffs, the 35-year-old doesn’t want his year to be over yet.

“My groin just tightened up a little bit,” Rodgers said.

“I was trying to stretch it out throughout the game.

“I’d like to be out there and lead us the last two weeks.

“I want to play. I expect to start and play.”

The Packers head to New York to take on the Jets in Week 16 before ending the season by hosting Detroit Lions.
