High blood pressure – the BEST breakfast to avoid deadly hypertension symptoms

High blood pressure is a common condition that affects more than 25 per cent of all adults in the UK.

The condition, which is also known as hypertension, puts extra stress on blood vessels and vital organs.

Making some diet or lifestyle changes could help to prevent high blood pressure.

Eating eggs could be crucial in warding off hypertension symptoms, it’s been claimed.

Eggs are a great choice of breakfast for patients with high blood pressure, a study has claimed.

The proteins in eggs produce specific chemicals, that are known as peptides, which act in similar way as common blood pressure medication, they said.

Fried eggs could provide even more benefits than hard-boiled eggs, adding charity Blood Pressure UK.

“A recent study has shown that cooked eggs may have a role in lowering blood pressure,” it said.

“These peptides work to block the production of a chemical called angiotensin, which raises blood pressure.

“The study used a model of the human digestive system to show that fried and boiled eggs produced a significant amount of these angiotensin-blocking peptides.

“In fact, fried eggs appeared to produce even more than boiled.

“These findings suggest that eating cooked eggs may therefore have an effect at lowering your blood pressure.”

Eating eggs regularly could also boost the amount of ‘good’ HDL cholesterol in your body, added medical website WebMD.

They could even lower your risk of a stroke, it said. A single egg every day could reduce your chances of a stroke by almost 30 per cent, it’s been claimed.

Everyone should aim to eat about six eggs every week for optimum health, nutritionists have said.

Managing your blood pressure is crucial, as hypertension increases your risk of some deadly complications, including heart attacks and strokes.

But, it may not always be possible to know if you’re at risk of the condition.

Most of the time, there aren’t any symptoms for high blood pressure, which is why it’s often known as ‘the silent killer’.

If you have extremely high blood pressure, however, you may have some tell-tale signs.

High blood pressure symptoms include severe headaches, finding blood in your urine, or having blurred vision.
