Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as the eponymous underwater superhero here to defend Earth. The DC Comics adaptation is Warner Bros latest foray into superhero movies. The studio’s previous attempts have fallen short of expectations, save for Wonder Woman. As such, Aquaman has quite a lot resting on his broad shoulders when it comes to the future of DC heroes at Warner Bros.
How long is Aquaman?
By superhero movie standards, the Aquaman movie is rather short.
The film runs a total of two hours and 23 minutes, not including any post-credits scenes there may, or may not, be.
With some Marvel movies stretching towards the three-hour mark, less than two and a half hours seems like a breeze.
Wonder Woman, Warner Bros majorly successful comic-book adaptation, comes in at two hours and 29 minutes.

Justice League, which was deemed a flop by critics and audiences alike, was a scant two hours.
Aquaman has received positive responses so far from critics, who were only able to Tweet their feelings.
Germaine Lussier of Gizmodo called it a “big, fun, wild ride.”
Writing for Den of Geek, Mike Cecchini said the movie “leans hard into its ’80s fantasy/adventure movie vibe.”

IGN movies podcast host Tom Jorgensen called Aquaman: “The best DC movie since The Dark Knight,” (though Wonder Woman fans may have a bone to pick with him).
He praised the director, James Wan, in particular, adding: “He delivers a swashbuckling epic full of big emotion, gorgeous undersea visuals, exciting action, and lots of laughs.
“WB should be handing the DCEU reins to James Wan, he’s proven he can, ahem, right the ship.”
Jorgensen’s comments are important as the future of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) consistently falls short of its competitors.
AQUAMAN: WHO IS THE VILLAIN IN THE AQUAMAN MOVIE?
As for the runtime, the nearly 2.5 hours should go by swimmingly if these Tweets are anything to go by.
The official plot synopsis for Aquaman reads: “Aquaman finds himself caught between a surface world that ravages the sea and the underwater Atlanteans who are ready to revolt.”
Fans looking to stay spoiler free should avoid Wikipedia, where the whole plot has been leaked.
Those in the USA waiting to see Aquaman should be careful to steer clear of Twitter and Wikipedia.
The underwater superhero flick is out in the US long after plenty of other countries, including the UK, Italy, Mexico, Hungary, Greece, Lebanon, and more.
