Fortnite Sword: Tough to get and possible to counter with this Infinity Blade trick

The Fortnite Sword location can be found on Polar Peak in the courtyard of the Castle.

It’s isn’t that hard to track down, but it is difficult to wield.

While Epic Games haven’t placed any requirements on players who can pick up the Infinity Blade, it does take a few seconds to grab.

And in this time, many players find themselves axed by their rivals, with many left in a bad position if they don’t end up with the blade.

The good news is that Fortnite fans believe they may have found the perfect way to counter the new Fortnite Sword.

The combination of being able to regenerate health and destroy structures and enemy players in a swing, make it a difficult thing to counter at close range.

But things can be easier if you have a ballon in your inventory.

Floating up in the air might only be a temporary fix but it can provide you with the distance needed to take down an Infinity Blade wielder.

Several players have shown their Victory Royales against opponents with the Fortnite Sword, who are unable to get close enough to land a killing blow.

It should be noted, however, that while a ballon can prove devastating in a 1v1 encounter, anything more than that could mean complete failure.

Floating that high in the air at any other time will make you a massive target and effectively point you out to everyone else in the surrounding area.

However, they may also leave you alone if they know you are keeping the Infinity Blade wielder busy.

HOW TO USE THE FORTNITE SWORD

The Fortnite Sword is available to use in any normal mode right now, meaning it’s a massive bonus for anyone who is wielding it.

Epic Games has set out the rules for what you can and cannot do when you have it in your possession.

While players see a massive boost in health and shield when you using the new sword, they cannot pick up other items.

Its Primary Fire delivers a powerful sword slash and deals big damage to enemies and destroys structures in one blow.

For players on the receiving end of this, it means a 75 damage each slash.

The Infinity Blade also boasts alternate fire, allowing the player to leap great distances, destroying objects in its path.

When a player lands, they can deliver damage and a knock-up to nearby players

This is about 25 damage and makes it a little harder for other to get the drop on the sword wielder.

The wielder of the sword is also granted additional abilities, including:

  • An increased pool of max Health and Shields (200 Health/200 Shields).
  • Regeneration of effective Health over time up to max Health and Shields (1 HP per second).
  • An instant burst of effective Health upon elimination of an enemy (50 HP).
  • Increased movement speed (130%).
