The iconic action movie celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and as with every Christmas, the debate still rages. Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? Die Hard screenwriter Steven E de Souza confirmed last year that yes it is, while Bruce Willis has said it’s not. Now Sky Cinema has teamed up with Cassetteboy to prove that of course Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
Afterwards, the actor was asked how fans would react to this. Willis replied: “We’ll see.”
It’s not entirely clear if the actor was winding up fans on purpose or if he was being serious, but it’s quite the statement nonetheless.
Last year YouGov polled UK movie fans on whether Die Hard was a Christmas movie or not.
Of the 5000 polled just 30% voted Yes, while 52% voted No and 18% said they don’t know.
