Ronda Rousey: WWE star Becky Lynch on why she should headline WrestleMania with UFC icon

Lynch and Rousey were supposed to face each other at Survivor Series last November but the match was axed after the Smackdown Women’s Champion suffered a broken nose and a concussion at the hands of Nia Jax on RAW.

The Irish Lass Kicker though continued to provoke the RAW Women’s Champion on social media and is now determined to battle her at WrestleMania on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.

The Man can’t stop thinking about the possibility of fighting the UFC Hall of Famer at Mania and is adamant that they should be the first ever women to headline the wrestling extravaganza.

The Irish grappler knows how much attention her rivalry with The Baddest Woman on the Planet has attracted in WWE as well as UFC and insists that this is the fight fans want to see the most.

Lynch told Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show: “That’s my goal, that’s all I can think about, that’s all I want, that’s what I wake up thinking about, that what I go to bed thinking about.

“If I had a vision for it that would be on my vision board.

“I think that the possibility is right there.

“I think it’s the fight that people most care to see.

“People care about this fight and it’s the one people care the most [about].

“So it should be on the main event.”

Lynch is set to defend the Smackdown Women’s Championship at TLC this Sunday at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The Limerick-born superstar will battle Smackdown megastars Charlotte Flair and Asuka in a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

Rousey will also be in action as she will put the RAW Women’s Championship on the line against Jax.

Many expect Lynch to lose the title soon so that she can then win the Women’s Royal Rumble Match next year and earn a WrestleMania clash against the first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
