LeBron James: Dwyane Wade reveals what he did with Lakers star ahead of tonight’s game

Wade and James played for five seasons together at the Miami Heat and then the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, tonight, they face off for the last time, due to Wade’s impending retirement.

The three-time NBA champion is leaving the sport at the end of the year, having spent all but two years of his 15-year career at the Heat.

He was named NBA Finals MVP in 2006 as he won his first title at the heat.

His relationship with James formed when the pair linked up with Chris Bosh to create ‘the big three’ in Miami.

James joined from Cleveland, and Bosh left Toronto for South Beach.

During their time together, James and Wade won back-to-back NBA titles in 2012 and 2013.

Ahead of their final game together tonight, Wade revealed to NBA’s The Starters podcast that they met up last night to share a bottle of wine together and reminisce.

“I saw him last night,” he explained.

“We shared a bottle of wine last night.

“We’re grown now.

“It was something he brought, something I had never seen before.

“Just a toast to each other, had a bottle of wine, but you get on the court and it’s competition.”

Wade admitted that he wants to win tonight, despite his friendship with the Lakers star.

“As always, we enjoy the moment that we have to play against each other,” he said.

“You see we’re 15-15 vs each other, and we’ve enjoyed every time.

“This is a tie-breaker.

“I’m always trying to get the win.”
