Footage has emerged of a Pakistani news host quickly leaping off his chair after he was struck by a fireball live on-air. The host was holding a debate over the border when the studio defended into complete chaos. In the video, the news anchor is seen jumping as he responds to a loud popping noise in the studio.
Seconds later someone in the studio runs in front of the camera as the host continues to speak to his guest.
A ball of fire is then seen flying across the studio and lands on the presenter.
The news host jumps out of his seat and out of the shot as he reacts to being hit by the fireball live on-air.
The video has been seen over 12,000 times on social media since it was posted two days ago.
The footage was posted online with the caption: “What just happened with this news anchor?”
Social media commentators were quick to mock the bizarre video.
One commented: “Breaking news, literally.”
Another added: “I have only heard the phrase ‘Pants on fire’. Now, have seen one.”
A third joked: “He got fired!”
