WWE news: Becky Lynch to MISS TLC? Big injury update after Nia Jax attack

The SmackDown Women’s Champion is set to take on Charlotte Flair and Asuka in the first ever women’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

But Lynch could be pulled from the match.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter claim ‘The Man’ has been cleared of her concussion but not of the nasal fracture she suffered at the hands of Nia Jax.

Lynch was set to fight Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series but was pulled after the incident on the final RAW before the event.

Charlotte took her place and went on to destroy Rousey with a kendo stick.

Lynch has not been in action at live events this week as WWE continue to protect her before the event.

WWE doctors are said to be confident the SmackDown star will be able to compete at TLC though.

After the attack, Lynch’s popularity with fans sky-rocketed and she is now rumoured to be in line for a huge push to face Rousey at WrestleMania next year.

And wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez believes if the Lass Kicker does fight she could lose the title as a result with Rousey on RAW.

He said: “It makes me wonder if maybe the reason she’s in there is to win because of course, you know how they do things.

“Nobody’s gonna expect it.

“Everybody’s expecting either Becky Lynch or Charlotte to walk out with the title but — hey, they could very easily do the deal where they’re both in the Royal Rumble, they’re both trying to win the Rumble to get their hands on Ronda Rousey and if they’re both going to be in the Rumble then somebody else should be the champion.

“So there’s a very good chance Asuka will walk out as champion. I guess we’ll find out.”

Rousey will also defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Jax at TLC.

Other matches announced for the show include Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin and Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles for the WWE Title.
