Samsung Galaxy S10’s best feature could be revealed today but there’s a catch

Galaxy S10 is the expected name given to the successor of the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

Unlike those two devices however, the Galaxy S10 is expected to represent a substantial upgrade for the product line rather than an iterative one.

The handset is presumed to boast Qualcomm’s newly-announced Snapdragon 855 chipset under its hood in some territories and will surely offer blisteringly fast performance.

Other areas will surely receive Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 processor that debuted last month.

The South Korean tech giant typically varies the processors inside its devices depending on where it is sold and the Galaxy S10 is expected to follow this trend.

Galaxy S10 has been heavily rumoured to present fans with a radical new design that flaunts extremely minimal bezels.

At its recent developer conference in San Francisco, Samsung showed off a flurry of new displays it insisted would feature on future devices.

The most notable of which was dubbed Infinity-O and featured a completely all-screen design but had a noticeable cutout for a front-facing camera.

At least one of the four expected models of the Galaxy S10 has been rumoured to come with such a panel, providing users with a futuristic new aesthetic.

But Lenovo looks set to reveal a phone today called the Z5s that could come with a similar design.

The firm’s vice president, Chang Cheng, recently took to Weibo and posted a teaser image for the device that suggested more details about it will be provided today, December 6.

The full reveal of the handset is expected to take place in China.

Alleged images and marketing material for the product have appeared online ahead of its grand unveiling and show the device with a hole punch-style notch, via Sparrows News.

The phone was shown with extremely small bezels overall with its most striking characteristic being its cutout for the front-facing camera.

The Lenovo Z5s is expected to come with a 6.3-inch display at a 1080p resolution and have Android 9 Pie pre-installed.

Moreover, the hardware has been rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 processor and not the firm’s popular 845 chip or recently announced 855 unit.

If Lenovo does reveal the Z5s today, it could serve as a good insight into how software will be adapted to conform to such a design ahead of the S10’s debut.
