Ivanka and Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, were seated right behind the current and former Presidents and Vice-Presidents. The two were seen chatting, despite their relationship taking a nosedive in the Spring. The service took place at the Washington National Cathedral.
In March, Chelsea criticised Ivanka over her White House record during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
She commented: “I think anyone who works for the President should expect to be scrutinised for whatever decisions not only he or she is making, but whatever decisions the White House is making on any given day.
“It’s clear that she has supported policies and decisions that I don’t agree with.”
Referring to the Trump administration, Chelsea added: “I think unfortunately this administration is the collision of cruelty and incompetence.”

Just months before the 2016 Presidential election Ivanka described Chelsea as a “good friend” and vowed to maintain their relationship.
She commented: “We support each other. We are not the candidates.
“We are the children of the candidates, and we both respect our parents.
“We never talked about politics before this campaign, and I think it’s probably a good topic for us to avoid talking about now as well.”
The 2016 Presidential election campaign between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton was exceptionally vicious, with Trump labelling his opponent “crooked Hillary” and arguing she should be imprisoned for using a private email server.
Ms Clinton fired back accused Trump of peddling “bigotry and racist rhetoric”.
The interaction between Ivanka and Chelsea wasn’t the only awkward moment during the funeral.
When President Trump arrived he shook hands with Barack and Michelle Obama, but pointedly ignored Mr and Mrs Clinton.
In return, Mrs Clinton almost completely ignored the President, with the exception of a brief nod of her head.
