Kym Marsh: Coronation Street star makes SHOCK ageing admission after daughter's baby news

Kym Marsh, 42, revealed she will undergo treatment to delay the ageing process, now that she is going to be a grandmother.

However, the Coronation Street favourite has ruled out Botox and is turning to non-invasive facial procedures for help.

“Now that I’m going to be a grandmother, I’m trying to delay the ageing process without having to turn to Botox.

“I’ve booked myself in for a course of non-invasive firming and smoothing face treatments at a clinic in Manchester.”

“They’re supposed to knock years off you, so I’ll let you know how I get on,” she wrote in her OK! Magazine column.

The mother-of-three also revealed she has hit the gym again after taking a short break from exercising.

She said; “I know most people wait until the New Year before going on a health kick, but the way I see it, if I exercise now, I can eat more chocolate over Christmas.”

Earlier this month, Kym announced she would soon become a grandmother, as her 21-year-old daughter Emillie is due to welcome her baby in May.

Discussing the exciting news, she told the magazine: “I’ve always looked forward to having grandchildren.

“Although I’m not relishing being called Grandma, so I’ve been researching alternative names!”

She added: “It makes me so emotional that my baby is having a baby of her own.”

But the soap star has every faith Emillie will be a terrific mother and reminisced: “I know what it’s like to be young and pregnant.

“It’s scary, but I also know Emillie is going to be a great mum. Being a young mum seems to be pattern in my family.”

She exclaimed: “My mum was 18 when she had my brother, my sister was 18 when she fell pregnant and so was I!”

In her column this week, Kym, who has been dating Army major Scott Ratcliffe for the past six months, said she recently visited her boyfriend’s family in Scotland.

Speaking about the get-together, she gushed: “We went for a lovely walk around Loch Tay and to his aunt and uncle’s house for dinner.

“His mum also took me shopping – she’s a lovely lady and we get on brilliantly. They’re missing Scott just as much as I am.”

The actress, who plays Michelle Connor in ITV’s Coronation Street, also commented on rumours the soap would be covering a teen pregnancy story involving Amy Barlow (played by Elle [Mulvney).

Backing the plot, she enthused: “It’s an important issue to tackle and a great chance for Elle to show off her acting skills.”

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
