Fortnite Save the World UPDATE: 7.0 early patch notes and Season 7 Frostnite teaser?

While Season 7 is being primed for release in Battle Royale mode, plenty is being prepared for fans of Fortnite Save the World.

The original mode will be part of the big 7.0 update, which will contain some major changes for fans on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

In a new developers update, Epic Games has confirmed that they will be shipping Canny Valley Act 3 this Thursday.

It will be part of the big Fortnite 7.0 update which is being rolled out in both Battle Royale mode and STW.

Epic Games says that Canny Valley Act 3 will be the final instalment in the current campaign and will include some kind of big boss battle.

And while the “Stand and Fight” campaign is being wrapped up, Epic Games has confirmed they have more story content planned for Save the World.

It has also been confirmed that the home base built will remain a lynchpin for future story missions.

Details on what will follow Canny Valley is set to be revealed shortly and could be shared later this month.

Epic Games also revealed that new event content is being primed for this month, which could also prove a teaser for Fortnite Season 7.

A new mode is being added to Fortnite Save the World, called Frostnite.

This has only been confirmed for Save the World at the moment but it could also have some kind of tie-in with Fortnite Battle Royale Season 7.

Just in the way that Fortnitemares was used to launch new modes and content in BR, so to could Frostnite in the coming week.

Frostnite will not be available on Thursday, December 6, but will be going live later this month.

It will be packaged as part of Fortnite update 7.10, meaning it could go live early next week.

Fans will need to keep their base defended and a furnace burning hot through the cold weather to survive in the new game mode.

The Long Frosty night certainly sounds like it will be a challenge, with no current release date or end date confirmed.

WHEN DOES FORTNITE BR SEASON 7 AND SAVE THE WORLD 7.0 START?

Fortnite Season 6 is scheduled to end on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

This makes it a little different as it appears that Fortnite Season 7 is also being scheduled to start on the same day.

That would mean Season 6 ending earlier on, with Season 7 starting in the afternoon in the UK.

Fortnite Save the World and BR mode are usually patched at around 9am in the UK, followed by a few hours of server downtime.

This would suggest that Fortnite Season 7 and STW 7.0 will start around midday in the UK, on December 6.

Things could run a little differently based on what time zone and region you live in.

There’s a chance the Season 6 game time could end on a different date if you live on the west coast of the United States.

However, it’s also worth noting that Epic Games could alter the date for the end of Season 6 in the coming days, and means fans should keep an eye out for the latest developments.

Fortnite Save the World patch notes will be shared during the server downtime and will include all the big changes coming to the game as part of update 7.0.
