Joe Sugg's Strictly partner Dianne Buswell catches him doing THIS in training

The 27-year-old YouTube star appeared to be struggling with the workload of tackling his two full dance routines for this weekend in a video shared by Dianne, 29, with her 291,000 Instagram followers. The Australian-born professional dancer filmed him lying face-down on a sofa in the rehearsal room, exhausted from the gruelling day’s training. Strictly Come Dancing 2018 favourite Joe could be seen flat out having a nap in the strange position, made stranger by the fact he was still wearing his dance shoes. “Fallen asleep in his Ballroom shoes,” Dianne captioned the upload.

The Strictly star also added a sticker which said: “Cute.”

In a second clip, she could be seen saying: “Bless Joe. He’s on his twelfth hour of the day.”

Turning the camera on Joe, now awake, she continued: “I let him have — I didn’t film you, by the way, before, — I let him have a 20-minute power nap.”

Unaware of Dianne’s hilarious earlier post, a bleary-eyed Joe pulled a pose on the couch, quipping: “I told you, paint me like one of your French girls.”

He didn’t seem to mind Dianne capturing his awkward nap on camera, however, as he later shared the clip with his own 5.7 million followers on his Instagram story.

He also uploaded a video as they took a short break from rehearsing, huffing: “Two routines in one day. Dianne, you’re trying to kill me.”

“I’ve got bloodshot eyes,” she chipped in, showing the camera.

“But it’s going well,” he added.

Last weekend, Joe and Dianne dazzled the Strictly judges with a Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat-themed Salsa.

The energetic number received rapturous reviews from the panel during Musicals Week, with Bruno Tonioli, 63, gushing: “Your dreams really have come true. You really had that magic charm of Joseph.”

“It was the conviction in your face, to die for,” Darcey Bussell praised. “What really was outstanding was the lifts, how you were able to understand that.”

“The Salsa part lacked fluidity,” Craig Revel Horwood, 53, criticised, adding: “But you presenter the number brilliantly. It was theatrical.”

Meanwhile, head judge Shirley Ballas, 57, gave the pair an A* for presentation.

They scored 36 points, coming in fourth on the leaderboard.

Having avoided the dance off, with Charles Venn, 45, and Karen Clifton, 36, being sent home, Joe and Dianne secured their place in the semi-final.

On Saturday night, they will perform twice for the judges in their last outing in a bid to make it to the grand final.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One.
