Galaxy S10 design may have leaked but not all Samsung fans are happy

Galaxy S10 is the expected name given to the Galaxy S9’s successor.

Unlike the Galaxy S9 however, the Galaxy S10 is expected to introduce a wealth of radical changes to the product line both aesthetically and internally.

The hardware has been heavily rumoured to arrive in at least three varieties this year.

That is because in addition to standard and “+” variants of the flagship, it has also been speculated Samsung could be planning the reveal of a more affordable model, according to Bloomberg.

The outlet cited people familiar with the South Korean tech giant’s plans and declared the cheaper hardware will forgo some premium features overall.

The most notable of these was said to be a signature Samsung display with curved edges.

Instead it is expected the cheaper model the S10 will have a flat OLED panel.

Recent rumours have suggested models of the forthcoming Samsung flagship could feature radically different display appearances.

The Galaxy S10+ has been claimed to come with two front-facing camera sensors; one is said to be a standard lens while the other could offer wide-angle capabilities.

Such a feature may replicate the functionality currently displayed on the Google Pixel 3 that offers a wider field of view in its secondary sensor that allows for more subjects to fit into a single frame.

Samsung has been heavily rumoured to be planning the radical reduction of bezels on its S10 devices.

However, such a move has left many questioning where the front-facing sensors would be placed.

But now it appears fans of the tech behemoth have been given their best look at what the Galaxy S10+ could look like thanks to new leaked renders from 91Mobiles in collaboration with OnLeaks.

The device was shown touting a futuristic all-screen design with minute bezels on both the top and bottom of the device.

By far the most distinguishable feature about the hardware is the pill-shaped cutout at the top right-hand side of the display for the two selfie cameras.

The design decision means the Galaxy S10+ may not have a notch, but it could have a noticeable cutout within the display itself.

Although the move appears to be part of an effort from Samsung to deliver a rather futuristic-looking flagship, it seems not all Android fans are happy about the phone’s claimed design.

In fact, many took to Twitter following the emergence of the new renders to express their disappointment.

One said: “Looks terrible, the waterdrop notch is way better than this.”

Another stated: “If it looks like this I’ll pass.

A third Samsung fan declared: “This looks even worse, than a notch.

“It’s absolutely horrible.”

Although many of the Android faithful are seemingly unhappy with the renders, it is worth noting that neither the Galaxy S10 or its design has been officially confirmed by the South Korean tech giant.

However, the firm is expected to discuss the future of its S-line of flagships at the start of next year.
