Fortnite Season 6 end date: When does Fortnite season 6 end and Season 7 start?

We now know more about Epic Games’ plans for the end of Fortnite Season 6 and the start of Season 7.

The development hasn’t kept the end date for the current season a secret from fans, but things can change.

Some past seasons have been extended to help players complete their battle passes before time runs out.

But this isn’t something that is going to happen with Fortnite Season 6 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Mobile.

WHEN DOES FORTNITE SEASON 6 END?

Fortnite Season 6 is scheduled to end on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

This makes it a little different as it appears that Fortnite Season 7 is also being scheduled to start on the same day.

That would mean Season 6 ending earlier on, with Season 7 starting in the afternoon in the UK.

Fortnite Battle Royale is usually patched at around 9am in the UK, followed by a few hours of server downtime.

This would suggest that Fortnite Season 7 will start around midday in the UK on December 6.

Things could run a little differently based on what time zone and region you live in.

There’s a chance the Season 6 game time could end on a different date if you live on the west coast of the United States.

It’s worth noting that Epic Games could alter the date for the end of Season 6 in the coming days, and means fans should keep an eye out for the latest developments.

The first teaser for Season 7 was released today by Epic Games, confirming the start date of the big event.

A picture of what looks to be an ice king was posted on Twitter, along with the caption: “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.”

A big trailer is also expected to be shared by Epic Games in the weeks to come.

In fact, the full Fortnite Season 7 teaser trailer could be revealed at The Game Awards on December 6.

During a recent Q&A session, The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley confirmed that big Fortnite news was inbound during the show.

“Fortnite actually got announced by CliffyB at the VGAs 2011,” he said (via Fortnite News).

“Very different game but yeah it was announced back then, and we’re excited that they will be a part of the show – we definitely have some Fortnite news, Donald Mustard will be here, they are a nominee as well so stay tuned for that.”

Keighley would subsequently confirm that Epic Games would make a Fortnite announcement.

“Yes, there will be Fortnite news at The Game Awards,” he continues. “I don’t think we’ve publicly said that yet but uh – yeah there will be stuff around Fortnite.”

It would make sensible timing but isn’t a guaranteed thing to happen during the big awards show.

When it comes to the theme of Season 7, it appears that Epic Games are sticking to the current seasonal format.

Season 6 was dominated by Halloween and all things spooky, something that went down well with fans.

And it appears that Season 7’s battle pass will be influenced heavily by the winter season.

More teasers will be needed before we start getting a full picture of what Season 7 will be like.
