Fortnite Season 7 trailer update, release date news and map leaks

Epic Games will be bringing Fortnite Season 6 to an end later this week.

It’s expected that Fortnite Season 7 will have a release date set for Friday, December 7, or December 6, depending on how much time the development team needs to get things moving.

So far nothing has been announced on the start date, release plan or what the battle pass will be like.

The good news is that we should start learning more about the new season very soon.

As with what happened in the past, Fortnite Season 7 is likely to start seeing official teasers dropped.

These will likely be shared on social media by Epic Games and offer a snippet of what Season 7 will be like.

This could include new skins for the battle pass, as well as a hint at what the theme will be.

It seems pretty likely that it will be based around the winter season, with plenty of holiday designs available for use.

Fans are also on the lookout for the new Fortnite Season 7 trailer.

It’s unclear when this will be shared and if it will be preceded by special teaser trailers from Epic Games.

There have been several “leaked” trailers posted that claim to be the real deal.

Some of these look more real than others, but it’s hard to tell if they are the real deal.

So anything you see on the internet before December 7 that isn’t from a trusted source should probably be taken with a big pinch of salt.

There have been other leaks that have hinted at what will be included in the official Fortnite Season 7 trailer.

New code has been found that suggests a piece of the Fortnite map is going to be destroyed.

From what fans have pieced together so far, it could be that a robot army descends on Tilted Towers and destroys it.

This would make sense within the context of some of the Secret Banner shared by Epic Games during season 6.

According to dataminers, there are now references to Tilted Towers being destroyed in the game.

The only problem with this is that such an event has been promised for a while.

Fans have been waiting for something to demolish the area for months and haven’t seen it yet.

Little bits have changed over the course of the year but nothing as large as the whole place being levelled.

There’s a chance that Epic Games have been waiting till the end of the year to offer something big like Tilted Towers being destroyed.

This may also have turned into a bit of a joke for them, and they may have added this because they know dataminers will be looking.

Epic Games has started to drop a few in-game teasers before the launch of season 7 this week.

Fortnite fans on Nintendo Switch have noticed that portals have started to appear across the Battle Royale map.

These mysterious portals have only started to appear on the Nintendo Switch, which is something that has happened before.

The Switch has seen little mini-events like this pop up before other platforms in the past, with the Fortnite map now included these portals near where Kevin The Cube first emerged.

Strangely enough, this portal is also in the same spot as mysterious co-ordinates hidden away on the Fortnite week 10 season 6 loading screen.

Another portal has also been seen in Snobby Shores, with this one featuring a wind and fog type of effect.

Whereas the portal seen near where Kevin the Cube spawned has a sprawling, circular look to it.

So a lot more news on the Fortnite Season 7 release date and map changes are expected to be shared very soon by Epic Games.
