Pokemon Go December Community Day countdown: Start date, times for FULL weekend of action

The December Community Day event is almost here, as fans count down to an entire weekend of action.

Less of a Community Day and more a Community Weekend, the upcoming event has a November 30 start date and ends on Monday morning in the UK.

The Community event has a 9pm GMT start time on November 30 and ends at 7am UK time on December 3.

And in another departure from the norm, every past Community Day Pokemon will make an appearance.

This includes Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum.

It’s ideal if you missed any previous Community Day events, or didn’t quite catch enough Pocket Monsters for the exclusive special move.

“We want to thank you for making this year’s Community Days so special,” Niantic explains.

“All over the world, in all kinds of weather, Trainers gathered to catch an array of Pokemon species and hoped for a glimpse of a Shiny Pokemon. We appreciate your dedication and enthusiasm!”

The only catch is that while previous Community Day Pokemon will be available during the entire weekend, other bonuses will be limited to traditional Community Day times.

For three hours on December 1, Pokemon Go players will earn double catch XP and double catch Stardust. Incubators will also be twice as effective during the bonus period.

Fans looking to take advantage of the bonuses should fire up Pokemon Go between 10am and 1pm GMT on December 1.

Needless to say, players can also take advantage of a host of other bonuses for taking part in the Community Day event.

Evolving Pocket Monsters into their final form will unlock an exclusive special move, which return for the entire weekend.

Fans also have a much better chance of finding and capturing a shiny Pokemon.

It’s also a good excuse for Team Valor and Team Instinct to gain a measure of revenge against Team Mystic.

The blues of Team Mystic dominated the previous event, capturing the most Pokemon in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
