Mate 20 Pro could soon be eclipsed by an even better Huawei flagship

Huawei Mate 20 Pro released last month and is already considered to be one of the best Android phones on the market.

The device boasts a highly-capable triple-camera system that builds on the excellent foundation laid by the P20 Pro earlier this year.

Mate 20 Pro comes with a 40-megapixel main, a 20-megapixel wide and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that combine to deliver arguably the most diverse sensor array around.

The Mate 20 Pro also touts a cavalcade of other flagship features such as a stunning 6.39-inch AMOLED display, a colossal 4,200mAh battery and incredibly fast charging capabilities.

Moreover, the hardware also comes pre-installed with Android 9 Pie, meaning Huawei fans can benefit from all the new features introduced by Google’s latest and greatest operating system.

And the Mate 20 Pro also offers rapid performance across the board thanks to the Kirin 980 chipset housed inside it.

The processor is joined by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in many territories around the globe, including the UK.

However, it is also worth noting a model of the device with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory exists in Chinese markets.

During its keynote debuting the device, Huawei was keen to position the Mate 20 Pro as its top-tier device for intense smartphone users.

However, Huawei appears to have teased a new device that could eclipse the Mate 20 Pro.

The firm recently posted an image on Weibo that hinted a device with a completely all-screen design and no notch at the top is coming.

The photo only showed the outline of the phone, but there was a distinct layer of light shining through at the top left-hand side of the handset, hinting this is where the front-facing camera could be placed.

A message is present at the bottom that, roughly translated, suggests Huawei fans should look forward to a “surprise” on December 12.

The display shown is extremely reminiscent of the Infinity-O display that was recently shown off by Samsung at its developer conference in San Francisco.

The South Korean tech giant displayed a number of panel technologies that would appear in its future phones during the event.

Infinity-O was presented with a unique cutout in the display for the selfie camera that was positioned in an incredibly similar place to that hinted by Huawei in its tease.

Such a resemblance could imply the device Huawei is teasing could boast a Samsung Infinity-O display.

The same screen has also been heavily rumoured to feature inside at least one model of the Galaxy S10.

In a year Huawei has released critically-acclaimed flagships, it appears the firm is determined to deliver another device before the year is up.

Fans of the Chinese tech giant will have to wait until December 12 where the tech giant is presumed to reveal more about the teased phone.
