Sony Xperia fans just received some exciting news thanks to this leak

Sony Xperia XZ3 was announced at IFA 2018, a technology show that takes place in Berlin every year, and comes touting a host of tantalising features.

The XZ3 comes with a 6-inch display that harnesses the power of Sony’s Bravia television technology to show vibrant colours and offer laudable viewing angles.

The Japanese tech giant’s handset also comes with a 3,300mAh battery, a 19-megapixel rear sensor and has Android 9 Pie pre-installed.

We adored the Xperia XZ3 at Express.co.uk, awarding it four out of five stars in our review.

Technology Editor David Snelling said: “There’s no question that the XZ3 is a seriously solid device.

“The screen is unbelievably good and it features an abundance of power to get you through your daily digital life.

“There’s also a decent camera, loud speakers and a design that will certainly turn a few heads when you pull it from your pocket.”

However it appears the XZ3’s successor has already leaked, providing Xperia fans with an alluring glimpse into what Sony’s next top-tier handset could offer.

MySmartPrice, collaborating with OnLeaks, has posted images it claims are the first renders of the Sony Xperia XZ4.

It was insisted the XZ4 will not come with a curved display like its predecessor.

Instead the phone was said to have a flat panel with no notch at the top with a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The outlet declared the XZ4 will flaunt a 6.5-inch screen, which if true would mark a sizeable upgrade from the XZ3.

And it appears the forthcoming device from the Japanese tech giant could also take huge strides forward in terms of its camera system, too.

MySmartPrice stated the XZ4 will feature a triple-camera setup, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and LG V40 ThinQ.

However, the functions of each lens was not detailed.

The renders posted show a premium looking device and offer a tantalising glimpse into the future of Sony smartphones for fans.

Despite the quality of the photos, Express.co.uk was unable verify the accuracy of the images.

Sony has also not currently commented on the existence of its presumably-titled Xperia XZ4 smartphone.
