Galaxy S10 could be the best Samsung phone ever for a very important reason

Galaxy S10 is the presumed name given to Samsung’s next generation S-line flagship.

The hardware has been rumoured to present a host of radical changes both internally and externally compared to its predecessors.

Samsung typically announces new S-line devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

The event takes place towards the start of each year, meaning the grand unveiling of the S10 is seemingly only a few months away.

It has been rumoured the Galaxy S10 could arrive in three models next year, a move that would represent a substantial break in Samsung tradition.

That is because the South Korean tech giant has typically only released its S-line handsets in two models in recent years; a standard and a Plus variant.

And now further evidence appears to have surfaced that the Galaxy S10 will arrive in at least three versions.

Techie Ride recently spotted documents from Russia’s Roasccredit agency that discussed the certification of three new Samsung devices that are presumed to be Galaxy S10 models.

Roasccredit is similar to the FCC in the US that regulates electronic hardware based on its electromagnetic interference levels.

It is standard procedure for technology firms to have their devices certified before their official release in territories across the globe.

The three Samsung variants in question were dubbed SM-G975F, SM-G975F/Dual SIM and SM-G975X in the document.

The names hint at least one version of the Galaxy S10 will come with dual SIM functionality, meaning owners could carry multiple carrier plans at once.

While the names do not give much away in terms of device details, they do add further credence to rumours of Samsung releasing at least three models of the Galaxy S10 in 2019.

A recent report from Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with Samsung’s plans, stated the tech giant plans to release “standard” and Plus models of the S10, but that it will also deliver a “more affordable version”, too.

The outlet explained the cheaper model is expected to forgo some premium features in order to reduce its price tag.

This included forgoing a signature Samsung curved display.

Although it is expected the South Korean tech giant will release three versions of the S10, the Wall Street Journal recently suggested there could be a fourth.

The publication said Samsung has a “top-secret” Galaxy S device in the works that is capable of delivering 5G speeds and has a whopping six cameras.

Such hardware was also claimed to have a 6.7-inch display.

The Galaxy S10 is expected to be shown off at Mobile World Congress that is taking place from February 25 to February 28.
