Red Dead Redemption 2 1.03 UPDATE: Red Dead Online beta PS4, Xbox patch notes news

A new version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released by Rockstar Games in connection with the launch of today’s Red Dead Online beta.

Patch 1.03 is now live to download on PS4 and Xbox One and is a required update for those who want to start playing multiplayer today.

It weighs in at around 5.5GBs and looks to include fixes for the single-player mode, as well as added support for RDR2 Online.

The good news is that the Red Dead Online beta is now live for those players who own a copy of the Ultimate Edition of the game.

The bad news is that servers seem to be struggling with demand from players trying to log in.

Reports are popping up of players being disconnected from multiplayer games, although this was expected to happen.

“During this process, we will be looking to our dedicated community to help us report and fix problems, share ideas, and assist in shaping the future of the full Online experience.

“As with all of our releases, we will strive to make the launch of Red Dead Online the best it can possibly be, and we ask that the community share that spirit with us over the next weeks and months.

“To help us ease into the beta and to mitigate major issues, we will begin the early access period starting Tuesday, November 27 at 8:30am EST, and gradually scale the player base up to full access beginning on Friday, November 30.

“This will help ensure that our servers can handle a steadily growing volume of concurrent players in the early hours and first days of the Beta and hopefully reduce the likelihood of any server crashes during the launch week as we get things up and running.”

A set of patch notes have been shared online by the Daily Star on today’s big changes and can be found below:
