Red Dead Redemption 2 online: Beta release date coming any moment now? Shock RDR2 news

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online is one of the most eagerly anticipated launches for the remainder of 2018.

RDR2 is without a doubt one of the biggest PS4 and Xbox One releases of this year, smashing sales records for Rockstar Games and garnering widespread critical acclaim.

And now RDR2 is out, attention among fans is shifting towards when Red Dead Online will be out.

Rockstar Games has already said that the Red Dead 2 Online beta will launch before the end of November.

And with this week being the final week of the month time is running out for Red Dead Redemption 2 Online to get released imminently.

However, fans have been given a sign that the RDR2 Online beta could be about to have its release date any moment now.

It has been revealed that some Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have already started playing the online beta ahead of the general release date.

According to a post on ComicBook.com, a small number of players have started registering RDR2 Online achievements.

A series of Red Dead Online achievements which since launch have been unlocked by zero per cent of players has started to be registered.

These achievements have only been unlocked by 0.01 per cent of gamers, and include trophies such as ‘Breakout’ for completing the intro of RDR 2 Online.

It may not be just a coincidence that these eight achievements for RDR2 Online were unlocked by the same percentage of players.

Maybe it’s a sign that a group of internal testers have been progressing through portions of the online beta at the same progress rate?

If that’s the case, and testing is currently taking place, then maybe Rockstar Games are gearing up for an imminent release date.

Ahead of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Online beta release date, here’s what Rockstar Games have said so far about their new multiplayer project:

“Red Dead Online is a new online connected experience set against the backdrop of Red Dead Redemption 2’s enormous open world.

“As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch, and we look forward to working with our amazing and dedicated community to share ideas, help us fix teething problems and work with us to develop Red Dead Online into something really fun and innovative.

“Access to Red Dead Online is free to anyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

“Using the gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

Stay tuned for more details about Red Dead Online in the weeks ahead.”

Judging by how popular GTA Online has been, it’s likely Rockstar Games will have another mega hit on their hands once RDR2 Online launches.
