Red Dead 2 Ultimate Edition comes with a MASSIVE online beta multiplayer bonus

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a massive success for Rockstar Games, who are about to expand the game on PS4 and Xbox One even further.

The new Red Dead Online beta is being released this week and will include a staggered launch on all platforms.

According to a recent confirmation from Rockstar Games, the first people who will get to play Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer will be those who own the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Players who have the Red Dead 2 Ultimate Edition get to start playing tomorrow, November 27, with a release time of around 1:30pm in the UK expected.

This will be followed by those fans who started playing the game on October 26. The second group will get access to multiplayer on November 28.

Red Dead 2 fans who played the game between October 26th and 29th get access starting on Thursday, November 29.

And finally, everyone else will get to start playing Red Dead Online on Friday, November 30.

The Red Dead 2 Ultimate Edition costs more to buy and was advertised to include bonuses for online gameplay.

“Exclusive Story Mode content includes a Bank Robbery Mission and Gang Hideout, Dappled Black Thoroughbred, Talisman & Medallion Gameplay Bonuses, Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses & Discounts, and the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit.

“Online content includes Bonus Outfits for your online Character, Rank Bonuses, Black Chestnut Thoroughbred, free access to the Survivor Camp Theme and more. Plus get free access to Additional Weapons in both Story Mode and online.”

Rockstar also revealed new details about their multiplayer mode, confirming that fans will be able to customise characters.

Other details include being able to form your own posses and attack other gangs found across the map.

Players will also be able to hunt together, as well as try and find bonuses and rewards by following online treasure maps.

Missions have also been mentioned, although, no further details on what these will include has been shared.

“With the gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 as its foundation, Red Dead Online transforms the vast and deeply detailed landscapes, cities, towns, and habitats of Red Dead Redemption 2 into a new, living online world ready to be shared by multiple players,” the announcement from Rockstar Games explains.

“Create and customize your character, tailor your abilities to suit your play style, and head out into a new frontier full of things to experience.

“Explore this huge world solo or with friends. Form or join a posse to ride with up to seven players; gather around the fire at your camp; head out hunting or fishing; visit bustling towns; battle enemy gangs and attack their hideouts; hunt for treasure; take on missions and interact with familiar characters from across the five states; or fight against other outlaws in both spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles; compete with other players or whole posses in open world challenges and much more.”

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 MULTIPLAYER INTRO

Gamers may have also learnt more about Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer from the list of achievements on PS4 and Xbox One.

These Trophies confirm that Campsites will be featured like in single-player, as well as new “free-roam” events.

In GTA Online, these meant activities such as parachuting, robbing trucks and tracking down worthwhile scores across the map.

The achievements list also includes one that states that fans are rewarded by “Completing the Intro” which appears to be called “Breakout.”

And other leaked information from data miners suggests that this might be in connection with an escape from a building, or some kind of vehicle.

It certainly would be an interesting way to start your career as an outlaw and would also serve as a tutorial to help players learn the revamped rules of online play.

A list of missions types has also reportedly leaked, suggesting that Red Dead Online might launch with something close to what was first offered in GTA Online.

Special Survival missions that will lead to an ever-growing shootout with gangs have been reported.

Other types include racing, which is something that could be expanded with the existing horse-riding found in single-player mode.
