The government website states: “Payments of any other benefit may be made early if they’re due between 24 December 2018 and 2 January 2019.”
What is more, there is a Christmas bonus made to Britons who receive certain benefits in the week before Christmas.
This is a tax free £10 to help Britons through the expensive festive season.
Gov.uk states: “To get a Christmas Bonus you must be present or ‘ordinarily resident’ in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, any European Economic Area (EEA) country, or Switzerland during the qualifying week.”
There are 19 benefits in total that entitle Britons to the Christmas bonus.
This includes state pension and pension credit.
Other benefits that entitle Britons to the tax free £10 are disability living allowance, carer’s allowance and unemployability supplement or allowance.
