Windows 10 update WARNING as users hit with by another irritating bug

continues to gain popularity with recent stats suggesting that it is finally within touching distance of Windows 7.

A report by Computer World shows that Microsoft’s Windows 10 is now running on 38.3 percent of PCs with Windows 7 just ahead with a 39.4 percent share.

This statistic is backed up by another report by NetMarketShare who has revealed the gap between the operating systems is rapidly closing.

Windows 10 brings a swathe of improvements and new features to this popular software but, despite its cutting-edge technology, it’s not been without its issues.

Just last month users began complaining that files were being deleted after installing the latest Windows 10 update.

One user, posting on Reddit, said: ”Last night I updated to 1809, and it all went smoothly, but then I find that all my files in Documents are DELETED.”

The problem was so serious, Microsoft temporarily stopped the rollout of this latest version whilst it worked on a fix.

In a statement, Microsoft confirmed: “We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating.”

Now it seems the operating system has been hit by yet another bug.

First spotted by Windows Latest, the latest problems appear to be affecting users who still watch content via the Windows Media Player.

Once the latest Windows 10 update is installed it seems the Seek Bar stops working.

Microsoft is clearly aware that this upgrade has caused a fault with a message posted on their support page saying: “After installing this update, users may not be able to use the Seek Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files.

“Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.”

Although no new features were included in the KB4467708 (OS Build 17763.134) this release was pushed out to include ‘quality improvements’.
