Liverpool news: Pep Guardiola reveals ‘I don’t give a f*** about Jurgen Klopp’

The Manchester City boss was giving a talk at the University of Liverpool for the annual Edgar Allisson Peers Symposium.

And he was asked about what he reads before dropped a joke in about the Liverpool boss.

“I don’t read,” he said.

“I start reading and before I know it I am reading about Jurgen Klopp. I can’t be f***** with that.”

Guardiola and Klopp are going head-to-head at the top of the Premier League this season.

City are two points clear after 12 games but both are unbeaten.

They drew 1-1 when they clashed at Anfield earlier this season with Riyad Mahrez blasting a last minute penalty over the bar.

Liverpool knocked City out of the Champions League in the semi-final last year in an explosive tie with bus trouble before and controversy in the game.

The two managers also competed in Germany at Bayern and Dortmund.

But the Premier League title race this season could be one for the ages.

Guardiola was also asked about life in the Premier League compared to Germany and Spain.

He said: “It’s the toughest one. For the amount of games, for the weather, the referees saying play, play, play.

“There are many contenders. No other country has that. It would be unfair to say that though.

“There are many things in Germany and Spain that have better things than here.

“I am a better manager now than I was at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. It’s the most unpredictable league I’ve been in.

“You watch Match of the Day. The people are crazy here compared to other countries and it’s good.”
