Lion King TRAILER: Watch Beyonce and Donald Glover live-action remake teaser HERE

ORIGINAL ARTICLE FOLLOWS: Millions of American families will come together today to celebrate Thanksgiving. It is the perfect time for the right kind of trailer. There had been huge excitement that the first Avengers 4 trailer would arrive today but all the major commentators are insisting it will drop next week, almost certainly on Wednesday. A different, much more family-friendly and upbeat teaser is expected to arrive instead. There are three games on, but Disney fans should focus on the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys showdown.

Firstly, the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys game will air from 4:30pm ET which is 9:30pm in the UK.

This will be the perfect time when families are resting after a huge midday Thanksgiving celebration or before an evening meal. All ages will be gateherd together.

Fox, it must be noted, is also owned by parent company Disney.

Trailer Track reported a major trailer would air this afternoon and the internet was deluged with Lion King memes and comments, including rumours that Lion King star Beyonce would be at a game today.

The live action Lion King is scheduled to hit cinemas on July 19, 2019, the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film.

Directed by John Favreau, following his huge success with the Jungle Book reboot, it features the voices of Han Solo’s Donald Glover as Simba, with Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villanous Scar.

James Earl Jones (who else?) returns as Mufasa, with Billy Eichner as Timon the meerkat Seth Rogen as the fragrant warthog Pumbaa.

Excitingly for fans of the iconic animated original, four songs will also return – Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Hakuna Matata, I Just Can’t Wait to Be King, and Circle of Life.

Hans Zimmer would return to score the film, while Elton John, Tim Rice and Beyoncé would create a new song for the end credits of the film.

The Lion King will be released on July 19, 2019
