Black Friday B&Q opening hours: What time will B&Q open on Black Friday?

Black Friday fever has gripped much of the world, with some huge discounts available both on and before November 23. The day, which falls after Thanksgiving in the US, is marked by a slew of discounts from companies big and small. Consumers are expected to spend money in the billions come Friday, so all retailers are hoping to capitalise on these expected revenues.

DIY specialists B&Q are among those in the UK taking advantage of the proposed frenzy, with a selection of deals prepared for the day.

When is B&Q open on Black Friday?

Retailers hoping to take advantage of spendthrift customers this Friday will be wanting to get them in earlier than usual.

Most online stores are already fielding deals before the final date, and some places like Amazon are opening physical pop up events on November 22.

People might expect shops to open early for the day, however, this doesn’t seem to be the case for most retailers, B&Q included.

Most B&Q stores tend to open from 7am on a weekday, and close by around 8pm.

The DIY specialists have not mentioned whether these times will change for Black Friday, and the date is not a bank holiday.

As such, opening and closing times are likely to stay the same, but this will still be enough time for people to take advantage.

Shoppers will have around 13 hours of shopping time to grab the best deals if B&Q sticks to their normal times.

Much like other retailers, B&Q has put a lot of emphasis on their online deals this month, emphasising their year-round low prices.

The site has suggested avoiding Black Friday madness, by directing shoppers to their stores to net low prices on any day.

They said: “Looking for Black Friday deals? At B&Q we have low prices all year round.

“Check out our fantastic products today. From pressure washers to paint, and storage solutions to power tools, all at great every day low prices.”

How to stay safe online for Black Friday

Shopping online can open consumers up to fraudsters hoping to take advantage of large numbers of people present on a single site.

The Met Police have offered a selection of tips to help people stay safe.

These include:

1. Do some research to find out what a fair or competitive price is for similar goods in the same condition; if the offer sounds too good to miss out on, it might not really exist, or it may be fake or of inferior quality.

2. Check the seller or buyer’s review feedback from other reviewers.

3. Always use the site’s recommended payment site, if they have one, and read the terms and conditions to understand what you are protected for.

4. Where there’s no recommended payment site, paying via credit card or known third party payment providers is preferable to direct bank transfers.
