Facebook DOWN: Social network NOT WORKING as users are unable to log in

UPDATE THREE: As of 3pm some Facebook users are still reporting the social network is experiencing issues.

Down Detector is still registering over 300 reports from users insisting Facebook is not working as it should be.

UPDATE TWO: Facebook users are claiming they are now able to sign-in to the site, but they are still unable to comment or post.

A number of users have insisted they are facing the same issues with their feed.

One said: “Site works NOW but won’t load posts. Before the website won’t load.”

Another posted: “Back on but can not comment or post.

A third stated: “Not working won’t let me post in Glasgow.”

UPDATE ONE: As of 1.45pm this afternoon, Facebook still appears to be down.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector is still registering hundreds of reports from users claiming they are unable to access the social media site as normal.

Some users have declared they are now able to access the site itself, but posts from other users and accounts are still not loading.

ORIGINAL STORY: A number of Facebook users have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at the outage.

One said: “I do believe that Facebook is down once again.”

Another declared: “Anyone else’s Facebook down?”

A third wrote: “Facebook what is the deal with your website right now?”

The outage appears to only be affecting the website version of the social media site.

That means users should still be able to access Facebook via its smartphone app.

Users have also posted images of the web versions of both the Facebook main page and Facebook Messenger not working.

An error message declared the social media site was down for maintenance.

It read: “Facebook will be back soon.

“Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes.

“Thanks for your patience as we improve the site.”

Independent outage monitor Down Detector registered over 2,500 reports from users at once that insisted they were unable to access the social media site as normal.

The site’s outage map showcased regions across the world that appear to be affected by the Facebook outage.
