Harry Redknapp paid £500,000 for I’m A Celebrity as Neil Ruddock reveals huge fee news

The football manager followed in the footsteps of his former player Ruddock by going into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The retired defender experienced the jungle some 14 years ago and admits Redknapp might find it tough during his time in camp.

“It’s horrible out there, the jungle comes alive at night and the sounds along will make Harry s**t himself,” he said.

“I can’t wait to watch it. All I can say is Harry will be able to do quite a lot of betting with that fee he’s getting!”

Redknapp is reportedly set to land £500,000 for his participation in this year’s show.

Families of contestants will also be put in a seven-star hotel.

Ruddock admitted he will also try to land some money by backing Redknapp to win the show down the bookies.

“Harry likes a bet, as do I and I’ll be backing Harry to win,” he added.

“His bookie will be gutted because he won’t earn any money in a few weeks while he’s away, he’ll lose a fortune! But seriously, I think he’ll do well, you’ll see the true Harry Redknapp in there.

“Everyone loves him anyway, he has thousands of fans. As long as he doesn’t walk out, he will definitely be one of the favourites to be King of the Jungle.”

The manager hasn’t had a job in the dug-out since leaving Birmingham City in 2017.

According to Ruddock, Redknapp is keen on team spirit but can lose his temper which is something that may happen during his time in the jungle.

“Harry gets on with everyone, but Harry can snap. Harry as a manager is your best mate and your worst enemy. If you do something wrong, he is on you.

“The way that people stand there and look at you, winding you up,” Ruddock added.

“What they do is they make you hungry and tired, and when you are hungry and tired it is when they become their most aggressive.

“You lose it and you want to argue with everyone. So I can see Harry snapping and really having a go at people, which will be hilarious for telly.”
