NBA news: Golden State Warriors owner speaks out on Durant and Green feud

Green was suspended for a game after an incident with his team-mate in the Warriors’ loss to the LA Clippers.

In the last few seconds of regulation, Green caught a rebound with the game tied, before dribbling up to the other end of the court.

He ignored Durant’s calls for a pass, and lost the ball.

Afterwards, the pair argued on-court and in the locker room, with Green reportedly referencing Durant’s upcoming free agency decision.

“You’re a b****, and you know you’re a b****,” he reportedly shouted at Durant.

“We don’t need you. We won without you. Leave.”

Green was suspended for one game without pay, before returning to face the Houston Rockets.

But Warriors’ owner Joe Lacob has denied suggestions that he took Durant’s side in the argument.

“I’ve read and heard all the things people are talking about,” He said.

“That we’re choosing one person over another.

“We’re not choosing anybody over anybody.

“The point is, whether it would be any employee, they’d have to act certain ways to be our employee.

“Draymond knows that he went beyond – won’t say what he did, or what he said, or anything like that – he went beyond what we felt appropriate, so it didn’t matter who it was.

“And he understands that, by the way. I’ve been texting with him, and he totally gets it. I do have a great relationship with him, and I still do.”

Green will sit out as the Warriors face the San Antonio Spurs tonight.

He is suffering from a finger injury.
